Anyone who thinks all trance-based techno sounds the same might change their views after a listen to Scooter's Techno Stadium Experience . As a whole it could be best described as DJ Otzi remixing a "Best Rave Anthems in the World…Ever" type compilation on a tight budget. There are more than just references to acts from back in the day like the distorted 303s of "Maria" insulting the Prodigy during their "Charlie" period and kooky hi-speed vocal breaks à la KLF on the hit (sadly, yes) single "Weekend!". For extra stadium effect crowd noise introduces each track before the clumsy vocals come straight in on each tune.
